Kilconquhar Castle Equestrian Centre is set in over 120 acres of spectacular woodlands and manicured gardens. We cater for all standards and ages of rider, using a wide variety of horses and ponies to meet any individual need. All rides are taken according to the ability of each rider.

The Equestrian Centre is approved by the British Horse Society and Trekking& Riding Society for Scotland, as well as being a main centre for the Disabled Association.
                                               

Types Of Ride Available

Treks / Hacks (1/2 or 1 hour)

These rides are available to all ages and standards and are escorted by qualified staff. Each ride is grouped according to ability and are kept to a minimum number per ride. We cover many woodland tracks and trail rides, a great way to view the local area.

Lessons - the personal touch (1/2 hour)

Lessons take place in our all weather, 20x40m outdoor arena and are given by a qualified instructor. We cater for all standards; from beginners to the fully experienced. All lessons are grouped according to ability, and group numbers are controlled to ensure maximum attention from the instructor is delivered. We also offer a one-to-one private instruction.

Beach Ride (2 hours)

Available only to experienced riders, covering a wide area of beach and sand dunes. This ride involves galloping and riding through water - a memorable experience! Book in advance as these rides are in great demand.

Trail Ride (2 hours)

Suitable for all levels, covering the local countryside. An ideal way to relax and view the East Neuk of Fife.

Special Offers

We do have special offers for horde riding sessions and these include:
* Special prices for several lessons during one week, but booked prior to arrival.
* Special prices for party bookings over several lessons, and booked prior to arrival.

An all inclusive package is available on request, call reservations today for last minute offers.
It is advisable to make an advance booking if you wish to take a ride or lesson, and this should be made as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment.

Livery

We provide for all your horses' needs, from stabled full livery to DIY grass livery. All short stay horses are given their own private paddock and are cared for around the clock. One of the main benefits of livery provides you the option to school your horse in our outdoor school with the use of our jumping equipment.

Riding Club

New Riding Club Membership £29 per annum - Riding Club renewal £15 per annum - Family renewal £13 per person p.a.

Why not join our unique Riding Club and enjoy all our benefits. Throughout the year we hold competitions, quizzes and parties as well as other great riding offers. This is your chance to be involved with the horses as well as riding them.

Booking

We are open each day between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, offering rides each day, with the exception of Friday, which is the horses rest day.
