| Sunday
12pm - 2.30pm The perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, enjoying the wonderful harbours and pan-tiled roofs in the picturesque villages surrounding the Estate. Once you've travelled the coast, off to St Andrews to the "Home of Golf" where there will be time to visit the shops or the Old Course. |
|
Monday
8.30am - 5pm This tour will take you to the home territory of one of Scotland's most predominant heroes, William Wallace where a 220ft monument has been raised to his memory. Then off to Stirling Castle and some of the most important battlefields in Scotland's history, including Stirling Bridge - Wallace's victory over the English in 1297, and Bannockburn where Robert the Bruce defeated the same foe in 1314. Then onwards to Loch Lomond, the largest inland loch in Scotland and probably the most beautiful. |
| Tuesday
8am - 5pm A truly enjoyable tour of Scotland's Capital, visiting Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Palace and of course Edinburgh Castle, which is set upon an impregnable crag reaching heights over 1000 ft. This wonderful City being so compact, the driver is more than happy to leave you to your own devices, in which case he will only be a phone call away, or he is more than happy to stay with you all day, to ensure a great day is had by all. |
Wednesday
8.30am - 7pm What we would call "the big yan"! Truly the most of Scotland you can see in one day. The first stop of the day is at Crieff, then onwards to the West Coast travelling past the foot of Glencoe, before arriving at Loch Linhe on the west Coast. The next stop is Fort William, below Ben Nevis, for lunch, then onwards north through the Great Glen to Fort Augustus, at the lochside of the greatest loch in the world, Loch Ness, where a chance of photographing "Nessie" might just be possible (in which case we will look after the film at Leisure). Then back southwards, through loch Laggan and past Dalwhinnie Distillery, making a short stop at Pitlochry, continuing home through Scotland's most dramatic scenery. |
Thursday
8.30 - 5pm Discover the "water of life"! Take in two working distilleries "Ednadour and Blair Atholl" and of course sample a wee dram or two as you go. Then down to some serious sight seeing, visit the magnificent Queen's View on Loch Tummel, then into Pitlochry for some lunch (and perhaps another wee dram!) and shopping, not forgetting Caithness Glass paperweight factory. |
